Step2 designs and manufactures rotationally molded plastic products at two plants it owns in northern Ohio, Streetsboro and Perrysville. Naming the specific facilities, rather than stamping a generic “USA” badge, is what got this brand onto the list: the claim is checkable, and it checks out.

The mark, though, is the second one, and Step2’s own listings are what set it. Reading the entire step2.com catalogue on 2026-08-23 — 249 listings — turned up 81 that state where the product is made, and every one of them says the same thing: “Made in USA of US and imported parts.” Not one says anything stronger. The rest of the catalogue is spare parts and replacement hardware with no origin line at all.

This record previously read the Ohio plants as evidence for the top mark and flagged line coverage as something to re-check. That check has now been done at the only scale that settles it, the whole catalogue, and the answer is consistent enough to be a policy rather than a caveat. The molding is done in Ohio by Ohio workers; some of what goes into the finished toy is not, and Step2 says so on every product it sells.
