Klein Tools

Klein Tools has made electricians’ hand tools in the United States since 1857, and its American Manufacturing page is candid in both directions. It says the vast majority of what it sells is made in the USA, that it makes fourteen times more product here than in any other country, and — the sentence that earns the first mark — that when a product says Made in the USA, it is in fact made in the USA.

It is equally open about the exceptions: like most global companies, Klein sources some products abroad, generally new additions or tools it cannot yet make itself. This record was a genuinely close call. The brand-wide truth is a mix, which would pull toward a lower mark; the deciding factor is that Klein guarantees the label on the products that carry it, so the mark is scoped to Klein’s Made-in-USA lines (listed at kleintools.com/madeinusa) rather than applied blindly to every SKU. A buyer should check for that marking on a specific tool rather than assume the whole range qualifies.
