Hidden Leather makes belts, tool sheaths and phone holsters in the same building in Monteview, Idaho, where Abe Boots builds its boots. It is the same shop: the leather goods kept the name the whole business used before the boots became Abe Boots in 2025, and its older spelling, Hiddin, is still on the door.

Its product pages say handmade in the USA, and the shop told us plainly that everything is made there in Idaho. It provided photographic evidence: the racks of hides, the cutting table and the sewing machines are in the photographs below.

The record is thinner on the leather than on the making. The shop used to name its tanneries — Hermann Oak, Wickett & Craig, Horween, S.B. Foot — and say its leather was tanned in the United States; its About page no longer does. Two belts are cut from water buffalo, with no tannery given. The products listed here are ones whose own page states where they are made.

No outside party has written about Hidden Leather. What places it is a state seller’s permit for the Monteview address, in force since 2015, and two marketplace seller accounts registered there. The site owner reviewed the shop’s photographs and permit and approved the top mark on that basis.

Domain record

hiddenleather.com was registered on .It dates the domain, not the business: a maker that moved to a new address reads young here, and an old domain says nothing about who holds it now.
