Heritage Steel

Heritage Steel makes fully clad stainless cookware in Clarksville, Tennessee, at a factory whose line runs back through New Era Cookware to the consumer division of Vollrath — a documented succession of owners at one American plant rather than a badge applied to imported pans. The company states it has crafted multiclad stainless cookware in the USA for more than forty years, and it forms, finishes and assembles every pan and lid it sells at that plant.

It sits at the second mark because of the steel. Heritage Steel’s own product pages say “We source our cladded cookware steel from South Korea,” and explain that some specialty materials simply are not available domestically. In a five-ply clad pan the steel is not a component — it is the pan. The company is unusually direct about this: rather than a bare USA badge it labels its cookware “Made in USA with Global Materials” and explains on the page that the FTC calls this a qualified statement, “necessary given that some of the materials we use in manufacturing are imported.”

That candour is worth something, and it is the reason the fabrication claim can be trusted. It is also, read plainly, the brand telling shoppers that the top mark does not apply. This record carried the first mark until 2026-08-23, with raw-steel sourcing noted as the open question; the question has now been answered from the brand’s own pages, and the mark follows the answer.
