Epicurean makes cutting boards and kitchen tools from a paper-composite material in Superior, Wisconsin — the same wood-fibre laminate the founders first encountered as a skate-ramp surface before they realised it also belonged on a cutting board. The company has manufactured on Connors Point since 2003 and now ships to more than fifty countries from a single 60,000-square-foot plant.

The brand is unusually candid about its own supply chain, which is exactly what makes it verifiable. It says the board material is manufactured 100% in the USA from US-sourced inputs — a top-mark claim for the boards on their own — and in the same breath discloses that a small amount of silicone parts and nylon utensil heads come from China. Most brands would let the “Made in USA” line cover everything. Epicurean draws the line itself.

So the brand sits at the second mark. The core product is genuinely all-domestic, but a catalogue that includes utensils with disclosed imported components is not, and the honest brand-level answer follows the parts the company was straight about rather than the headline it could have used instead.
