Dearborn Denim has cut and sewn jeans in Chicago since 2016, starting in a partitioned corner of an old industrial laundry with a dozen used sewing machines and, by 2023, buying a 25,000-square-foot factory in Garfield Park where the whole line is cut, sewn, finished and shipped.

The domestic manufacturing is well corroborated. What the brand does not publish is where the denim itself is woven, and denim fabric is frequently imported even when the garment is sewn domestically. This record therefore sits at the second mark: cut and sewn in Chicago, fabric origin flagged for the next check.
