Blackstone is the griddle brand that defined the category, and it is an American company — designed and engineered in Logan, Utah. That is exactly what its about page claims, and no more: “designed and engineered in the USA.” The sentence is worth reading closely, because the word most buyers expect — made — is not in it.

The griddles are manufactured in China. Blackstone’s Utah team owns the specs, the cooking-surface steel and the burner design; the physical production happens overseas, which is why the country-of- origin labels on retailer listings read China. The brand has never stamped “made in the USA” on the product, and the about page’s precise phrasing is the tell.

That makes Blackstone an American company selling imported griddles — the third mark, listed here for transparency rather than as a recommendation against it. The design is domestic and real; the manufacturing is not. Anyone who assumes a Utah headquarters means a US-built griddle is filling in a claim Blackstone itself does not make.
